Coach Pitch  T-Ball

2008 SEASON

 

1.      Age level: PW , 4-5 -6-years-old. Coed.

2.      Coach Pitch T-Ball

  1. Coach pitches 2 pitches (swinging strikes) to the batter.
  2. If the player does not hit the ball in two pitches the umpire then has the player hit off the Tee.
  3. A player does not have to attempt the coach pitch part. They may tell the umpire they wish to use the tee without being pitched to.

3.      Atom I Pitching Machine league players may not play T-Ball.

4.      When assembling a team, the manager is encouraged to fill the roster from the draft.

5.      5 inning games with a one hour time limit.

6.      Free substitution, must bat the entire roster.

7.      Runners and Batter/Runners are allowed to advance only one base per legal at-bat except in case of batted ball bouncing over or around outfield fence (ground rule double) and except in the case of batted ball hit over fence in fair territory (home run). No advances on overthrows, no doubles, except ground rule doubles, no triples etc.

8.      After four runs are scored in any half inning, or when three outs are made, whichever shall first occur, that half inning of play shall be concluded. In the event the forth run is attained from continuous play only the forth run will be counted.

9.      The infield fly rule does not apply.

10.  There is no 10 run rule.

11.   All other rules agreed upon by NMSR.

12. Catchers must wear mask, helmet and throat protector.

13. Ten foot arc in front of home plate. Ball on or beyond is fair.

14. No bunting or stealing. Runner may not leave base until ball is hit.

15.Bases 55 feet. Rubber 36 feet. Player Pitcher must stay on rubber until the ball is hit.

16.Coach Pitching: stand to 1st. base side for right handed hitter.

stand to 3rd. base side for left handed hitter.

17.Coach hit with batted ball is a NO PITCH .

18.Only 6 players on infield, no closer than 2 steps in front of base line.

19.Four outfielders must be in the grass until the ball is hit. Opposing managers can agree prior to the game, preferably during ground rules, that all players not positioned on the infield may play in the outfield.

20. No game may begin with less than 6 players. Team with less than 6 players shall forfeit the game after a 10 minute grace period.
