JUNE 27th and 28th

QUEENS PAGEANT
 
The New Melle Festival Queens Pageant will be held on Friday night June 27th at 7 PM in the hall.  Any girl who is a Junior in high school and lives in the New Melle Fire Protection District is eligible to run for queen.  If you would be interested in running for queen, please contact NMSR office and leave your name and phone number and Alicia Dickherber will contact you.  All applications will have to be turned in by March 4, 2008.

 

2008 NEW MELLE FESTIVAL CHANGES

 

 

We are excited to announce that there will be several changes to this year’s New Melle Festival.

 

The Festival will be on Friday June 27 & Saturday, June 28th with "Family Night" on Thursday, June 26th (there will be no beer garden open on Thursday night).  The Festival will not be held on Sunday.

 

We have a NEW Carnival Vendor who will provide many more rides and entertainment for the kids and young at heart.  They will also provide an Armband special on Thursday night from 6-10pm and on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Festival Parade will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 11:00am.  This year’s theme is “Pioneer Days – New Melle Style”.  If you would like to enter a float in the parade, please call the office @ 828-5158 for an entry form.

 

Music entertainment will feature: “Butchwax & the Hollywood’s” on Friday night with “Ruff Ryders” playing on Saturday night.

 

If you are a vendor or individual who has a product you would like to sell, we have booths available for rent at the Festival.  Please contact the office @ 828-5158 for more information.  Spaces are limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
